• In 1958 WDR mediagroup was founded as Westdeutsches Werbefernsehen, (WWF), a 100% subsidiary of WDR.
• Its core business is selling radio and TV airtime as well as producing programmes and trading programme formats on behalf of “Das Erste”.
• In 1998 establishing new business activities marked the starting point for operations as an integrated media service provider.
